COAL TOWNSHIP - The Rainbow Club met at Our Lady of Hope Hall for its September meeting. President Ruth Romanoski opened the meeting with the SAM prayers, the Pledge of Allegiance and the Over 50 Song. Twenty-four members attended, with Goldie Kerstetter introduced as a new member.

Dolly Yocum, secretary, read the minutes of the previous meeting, which were approved and filed. A health report was given on the illness of Pat Pellman, Helen Christinan and Margaret Neary, who suffered a broken arm. Also, prayers are asked for Brian Christiana.

Treasurer Florence Verano gave a report on the club's finances and the Travel Club. Two trips remain for this year, one on Oct. 4 and the other being a Christmas Show on Nov. 8. The club will also donate a basket of health and beauty items for the Chinese auction. An ad will be placed in the anniversary bookles for the SAM Club Mass, which will be on Oct. 14 in Harrisburg with Bishop Joseph McFadden celebrating. A bus will be provided.

A thank you was sent to the American Music Theater for the hospitality given to members when their bus developed trouble.

The regional meeting of the club will be Oct. 1 at Our Lady of Hope Hall. A luncheon will be served.

50/50 tickets were sold by Ann Koshinskie and Peggy Thomas. Winners were Katherine Reed, Marie Cwalina and Goldie Kerstetter. The attendance award was won by Shirley Bebenek. The president closed the meeting with the Lord's Prayer. Bingo was played and refreshments were served.
