POTTSVILLE - Immix Wireless has launched Cell@Home, a unique communication device that allows users to enjoy the features of both cellular and land-line phone services.

The device is easy to set up and use, and helps improve service in a building or home. Users plug it in and forward their cell phones to their Cell@Home numbers.

"Getting a strong wireless signal to remote and rural homes has always been challenging. We have scoured the marketplace for the best product to improve our customer's experience, and we have found it," Bryan Stanley, executive director of sales for Immix, said in a press release. "This device is by far one of the best products we have ever sold."

There are several factors that affect signal penetration in buildings, including construction material (metal, concrete, wood), wall density, number of windows and building height. In addition to the physical construction of the building, poor signal can also be a result of the geographic location of the closest wireless tower.

Stanley said the terrain in central Pennsylvania is especially challenging for cell phone coverage.

Immix started offering Cell@Home to customers this year and the response has been very strong.

The device is available exclusively at Immix Wireless. It costs $9.99 per month when added to an Immix family plan. Other plans are available.
