SHAMOKIN - The following hearings took place Tuesday before Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III. Defendants ordered to appear for hearings on Monday, Dec. 31 in Northumberland County Court, Sunbury, can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.

n Shawn M. Soliday, 28, of 120 Elk Dr., Lebanon, waived charges of driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol level of .16 or higher during his hearing.

Shamokin City Police Patrolman Mark Costa filed the charges following a traffic stopp at 5:49 p.m. Oct. 21 on East Sunbury Street, Shamokin.

n Charges of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, driving under the influence, and driving with a suspended license were waived by Roslyn M. Nairns, 30, of 1011 W. Pine St., Coal Township.

She was charged by Shamokin City Police Patrolman Raymond Siko II following a vehicle theft at the Turkey Hill Minit Market, Second Street, Shamokin at 10:12 p.m. Oct. 5.

n A charge of retail theft was waived to court by Heather A. Frank, 27, of 331 N. Vine St., Mount Carmel.

She was charged by Shamokin City Police Patrolman Scott Weaver following a theft at the Weis Markets, Sixth and Walnut Streets, Shamokin at 2:34 p.m. Sept. 18.

n Faith C. Gearhart, 29, of 225 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton, waived three counts of driving under the influence, and charges of having required financial responsibility, careless driving and other traffic violations in her hearing.

Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Nicholas Berger filed the charges following a June 11 traffic stop on Coal Street near Upper Road, in Zerbe Township.

n Felisha Albertson, 20, of 205 Third Street, and Cynthia A. Albertson, 21, of 211 Third St., both of Coal Township, waived charges of criminal conspiracy and retail theft in their hearing.

Both girls were charged by Coal Township Police Patrolman Edward Purcell Jr. following a theft incident at the Wal-Mart SuperCenter on Nov. 4.

n Charges of delivery of a controlled substance to an inmate, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of criminal conspiracy were waived to court by Deshonda N. Madden, 33, of 5424 Rising Sun Ave., Philadelphia.

She was charged by Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Ronald Zanella following an Oct. 26 incident at SCI Coal Township.

n Craig C. Becker, 26, of 915 W. Mulberry St., Coal Township, waived charges of terroristic threats, simple assault and repeated acts of harassment.

He was charged by Coal Township Police Officer Christopher Williams following an incident at his residence on Oct. 31.

n Brenda Snyder, 43, of 329 W. Spruce St., Apt. 6, Shamokin, waived a charge of theft by unlawful taking.

Snyder was charged by Coal Township Police Patrolman Terry Ketchem Jr. following an investigation into stolen money at Anthracite Provision, 510 S. Pearl St., between July 13 and Aug. 5.
