MANDATA - The Line Mountain High School will present the musical "Anything Goes" at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the school auditorium.
More than 50 students in grades seven through 12 are participating in the musical as either cast, crew or musicians.
The musical begins aboard the New York sailing of the S.S. America bound for England in the 1930s. Of particular interest on this ship is Reno Sweeney (Victoria Wolfe), who is a famed Evangelist-turned nightclub singer, with her four beautiful Angels who serve as backup singers. Billy Crocker (Aaron Ferster), a young man beginning his career on Wall Street, comes aboard not as a passenger but to drop off his boss's passport. On the ship, he runs into Reno, who is an old friend, and Hope Harcourt (Katie Boyer), a woman he has been searching for since he shared a passionate moment with her in New York's Central Park.
Billy stows away on the ship in hopes of winning Hope's heart. Moonface Martin (Nathan Shaffer), a second-rate gangster labeled "Public Enemy 13," and his friend Bonnie (Courtlyn Trautman) have disguised themselves as a minister and a missionary, are innocently aided by Billy and board the ship under their assumed identities.
Join the cast and crew as this thrilling and romantic adventure continues aboard the S.S. America making way for England.
