Culver holds meeting to to discuss park issues

SUNBURY - State Rep. Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-108) held a meeting May 31 at the Degenstein Library to inform the public about the Shikellamy State Park complex and related issues.

Frank Nanna, Shikellamy State Park manager for the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, presented plans for the marina's future building projects, incouding plans to renovate the state park building. After renovations, the building will serve as a visitors and environmental center.

Additionally, Nanna talked about the Adam T. Bower Inflatable Dam and the process required to change the bads in the dams, one of which is scheduled for replacement later in the summer.

Culver said she was pleased with the turnout at the meeting.
