Blight spots, before and after Coal Twp. did $76,060 of demolition in 2011

Coal Township wrapped up its 2011 demolition work late last year, spending $76,060 from Community Development Block Grant funding to raise or otherwise address eight blighted properties. Similar efforts continue in 2012.

Contractor Robert J. Gusick completed the following demolition projects at the listed cost:

- 1126 Chemung St., owned by Terrance Opra, $16,729.

- 1422 W. Nelson St. owned by Francis H. Eveland estate, $18,719.

- 1672 Webster St., owned by Timothy J. Mattera, $5,953.

- 1674 Webster St., owned by Daniel J. Polyniak, $5,953.

- 1676 Webster St., owned by Philip Bilbay Jr., $5,953.

- 1678 Webster St., owned by Marlin T. Feese, $5,953.

Contractor Northeast Industrial Services Corp. completed these projects at the listed cost:

- 1208 W. Pine St., owned by Zella Seleskie, $10,900.

- 1119 W. Holly St., owned by Donald Shinskie, $5,900.
