SUNBURY - The first Lake Augusta Wine and Brew Festival will be held Saturday behind the flood wall at the Sunbury River Front.
Cosponsored by Sunbury Revitalization Inc. and Brewer's Outlet, the event will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Tickets cost $25 and are available at Brewers Outlet or by calling SRI at 286-7768. The event is expected to draw 600 people. Many tickets already have been sold and the rest are expected to as well, so act fast.
There will be 12 breweries, five wineries, two meaderies - makers of honey wine - and 14 food and craft vendors. Entertainment will be provided by Royal Benson as well as Sean Farley featuring David Lynn.
Parking is available throughout the downtown or in the municipal parking lots.
Proceeds benefit SRI.
Wine and Brew is the latest SRI-event, only in its first year. It hosted Wake the Lake on May 25, an event kicking off the river and boating season, along with free community concerts at the riverside amphitheater.
