HARRISBURG - At a press conference held Wednesday by the Early Childhood Education Caucus in the Capitol Media Center, Rep. Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-108) spoke about the importance of quality early childhood education programs for the young children of Pennsylvania.
"Early childhood education is the first step in the learning process that will impact the rest of our students' lives," said Culver. "By ensuring that our children receive a quality education, we're investing in all of our futures, as well as the lives of our students, the well-being of our communities, strength of our economy, and all-around growth as a society."
Culver joined some of her colleagues on the Early Education Caucus, and representatives from area education groups, who spoke at the press conference.
The Early Education Caucus is comprised of legislators from both chambers of the state General Assembly on both sides of the aisle. There are 102 members in the caucus.
